We are an informal group of women who love to GIVE. The Northwoods giving circle and its events are run by big-hearted volunteers. 100% of our members’ donations go directly to the local charities selected at our quarterly giving events.
The goal of the group is to support the wonderful work that our local charities do in funds, exposure and awareness in a minimal amount of time. Our members are mostly local, but can be from anywhere! To maximize local impact, our donations will stay in Marinette and Oconto Counties of Wisconsin, and Menominee County, Michigan.

Our guidelines.
Who is eligible to receive our funds?
Registered 501(c)(3) organizations that have been in good standing for over 1 year and have not received our quarterly award within the last 3 years.
To be good stewards of our membership’s funds, we want to ensure that our donations are tax-deductible and will be handled responsibly.
To receive the Schultze Foundation match up to $5,000 and to be eligible for electronic funds via Grapevine, the organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Although we don’t typically support religious or political organizations, they will be considered if their funds are being used for a specific program that meets the needs of our community e.g. food pantries, homeless shelters, etc.
If the organization is using the funds for a special program or organization that is not a 501(c)(3), a signed letter of understanding may be requested.
We encourage our members to bring forward their ideas! To recommend a non-profit organization, submit your ideas!
We require a 1-week notice prior to the event to vet the organization. Organizations recommended less than 1-week prior will be vetted and added to the list prior to the following event.
Pre-vetted, eligible organizations will be added to the Qualified Charities for Consideration list. Upon event day, only those organizations on the list will be eligible for nominations.
Who is eligible to nominate?
Any paying member in good standing who has donated at least one giving cycle and has not missed donations for 2 consecutive giving cycles
Who is eligible to present?
Any board member, director, volunteer, or friend of the non-profit. Presenters will have 5 minutes to present the facts, tell the heart of the organization, explain where the funds will go, and answer questions.
Who is eligible to vote?
All members, including new members, who attend the event in person or via Zoom when offered. There will be no voting by proxy.
